I've been very busy working on my painting for Modern Eden Gallery's upcoming exhibition, Fiction: 2nd Annual Portrait Invitational. I also just finished a commission (just have to paint the sides and sign it!). Hopefully my next update this lovely painting above will be finished!

So I just discovered that my illustration, A Faery's Child, is in an advertisement for Blick's Art Materials on the BACK COVER of Drawing Magazine! This is an amazing surprise. I was also selected as Blick's Featured Artist of the Month for May on their Facebook Page. It's been quite the past 24 hours for me!
I've also started working on a commission as well as a painting for the Fiction Exhibition at Modern Eden Gallery which I am ridiculously excited for! It feels so great to be able to paint full-time! If you're interested in commissioning me, feel free to contact me!

Yesterday, I graduated from Flagler College as summa cum laude (4.0 GPA), and as the Distinguished Student for both of my majors, English and Fine Arts.

Sorry I haven't updated on here in quite a while! Everything has just been insane for me these past few months as I've gotten closer and closer to graduation. I officially graduate on Saturday, the day after tomorrow, which is quite unreal to me. I'll be graduting not only as the Distinguished Student for both of my majors, Fine Arts and English, but also with a 4.0 GPA - which means I'll be graduting as summa cum laude.
Tonight was the BA/BFA Exhibition at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum on campus. I had been working toward this moment for the past four years, and it's wonderful to have finally made such an accomplishment in Fine Arts. (I'll be returning next semester as an almunus at Flagler to complete the BFA in Fine Arts program.) The show was wonderful and the turnout was unreal. I cannot wait for next semester!
This past week Flagler Magazine released its newest publication in print for Spring 2013. Not only did I get to have an amazing first time legitimate photoshoot as an artist with a photographer, but I also managed to receive a four page spread as the cover story! A small image of myself at work also appeared on the cover and a larger image on the table of contents. (Above is the first page of the spread. So exciting!!) You can view the cover, table of contents, and four page spread on my Press Page as well as read the article online!
I have some very exciting shows coming up in the near future as well as a few publications. I have a new painting to post and a number of new paintings from my Figure Painting class this past semester which will be up in my Etsy shop sometime this coming week as well. Hopefully I'll be making another new post later this week. And don't forget to watch the amazing video put together by Didi Menendez from PoetsArtists Magazine below (and on my Bio page!)

I just wanted to post a quick update on where I've been for the past month! I've been really busy working on paintings for both my BA Portfolio and my Figure Painting class (along with some commission work). To the left is a small, cropped shot of the painting I've been working on since the first of the month. It's 3' x 4' and will hopefully be finished sometime this week.
I have a painting being shipped out to Modern Eden Gallery for their upcoming exhibition Tarot: Art of Fortune. I'll hopefully be able to post the painting online sometime in the near future.
I'm also going to be featured in an upcoming issue of Flagler College Magazine. I had a proffesional photoshoot with a photographer, and I will hopefully see the images soon!
